Let the Whining Begin

In my own defense, the class average for my Good Book intro was B-. And 19 out of 56 students received an A.

But within ONE HOUR of posting my grades, I started to receive emails to the effect of, "How did I end up with that grade?!?"

I have already had one student come to see me in my office.

Another cannot wait for hir papers to be returned via campus mail; s/he would like an explanation about hir grades via email this evening.

And yet another has demanded (not requested) a meeting tomorrow (s/he would have come today, but is off-campus this evening for an athletic competition).

I really like teaching. But sometimes I really dislike students...
