In the Nick of Time

First-Choice U requested that I send some materials to them in advance of my campus visit next month.

They were due today.

I interpret "today" as "any time on this date by 5 p.m." Although it was 6:57 p.m. in my time zone when I sent off the materials, it was only 4:57 p.m. in their time zone.

So, I hope that they'll consider my materials to have been submitted on time.
