Timing Is Everything

I mentioned in this post that I will be heading to Small Society's Annual Meeting 60 hours after arriving home from TLWTMS.

I'll be flying to the meeting, thus, I have been checking airline ticket prices obsessively (read: every time that I access the internet). Things that I've noticed:

• Ticket prices are higher on weekdays.
• Prices for flights in May drop in mid-January, but then rise in late January.
• It is generally cheaper to buy tickets through the airline's website, than through a travel agency (online, or otherwise).

After months of waiting for the ticket price to drop, I finally bought my ticket today. And I saved myself $100.
