Words To Live By

Over the summer, I prepared the lectures for September, thinking that in September, I would prepare the lectures for October. But with social obligations and the submission of The Proposal, there was simply no opportunity to do so.

Thus, I was quite dismayed, indeed, when I encountered difficulties in preparing the lecture for next week. Dismay would have become panic, but for the reminder of certain words to live by.

Having spent the day researching/reading, my dismay has been temporarily abated, for I've determined what material will be covered and how that material will be presented.

But as I prepare the next lecture (in addition to all of my other work), I'll continue to remind myself of these words to live by:

You only need to stay one week ahead of your students.
