Advisor Said It's Over

Advisor thinks that The Dissertation is ready for defense.

Committee Members A and B are willing to read The Dissertation by the end of July (it's possible that they could say that The Dissertation isn't ready for defense, but I trust Advisor's judgment).

Then Department Reader and External Examiner will read The Dissertation in August; both have agreed to a pre-September 1 defense.

And External Examiner is one of the two Fathers of North Country studies. It takes my breath away that FNC1 will be reading my work! Fortunately, I've met him before and know that's he's incredibly nice, in addition to being incredibly smart.

I may finish my Ph.D. yet...
