Anxious
There were 12 apartments for rent in Small Town's newspaper.
But when I called the numbers to make appointments to see the places, 10 were located in nearby (and not-so-nearby) towns.
And at the the last two numbers, I could only leave messages.
And they haven't returned my calls yet (admittedly, I only left the messages four hours ago).
But I'm anxious that I'll be homeless...

I decided to be persistent and called again.
I have two places lined up to see next Tuesday (one of them is a bit more expensive than I'd like, but the other would be perfect if the place itself is OK) and one more to see on Wednesday (really cheap, but Google Maps tells me that it's a 40-minute walk to school).
