Where Did Her Head Go?

Most would argue that absent-mindedness is not a virtue. In my quest to become a scholar-in-actuality, however, I take my increasing absent-mindedness to be a positive indicator.

As I headed to the library this morning, I was thinking deeply about the Conflicted Congregation and the argumentation of the Letter Writer in the first of his letters to them.

It was only when a close friend of mine waved her hand directly in front of my face did I even notice that she was there! She had apparently spotted my short stature from a block away. I, on the other hand, did not notice her until I had nearly trampled upon her, despite the fact that she's a good six inches taller than me.

My body might be in the twenty-first century, but my head clearly is not.
