Careful What You Wish For (Part 5)

They promised that the kitchen would be done on Friday.

Status of the kitchen at Friday's end:

• The porcelain-tile floor was done;
• The walls and ceiling were painted (light blue and white, respectively);
• The white cabinets were installed (complete with door handles); and
• The new stove, fridge, and dishwasher were in place.

BUT: The custom-made counter wasn't ready, so we're still missing the kitchen sink.

The old fridge and stove haven't been disposed of yet, but mom's anticipation of their disposal seemed to diminish rather significantly at the sight of her new appliances. (Have I mentionned that the new fridge is stainless steel on the outside and the new stove has a ceramic cooktop?)

They've promised to be done by the end of Monday.
