Oh-My-Frickin'-Goodness

I madly finished the application the day that it needed to be sent off, literally ran to the post office before it closed, and was not at all proud of my application. In fact, just yesterday evening, I thought to myself that there was absolutely NO WAY that I would get this post-doc with such an unimpressive and careless application.

I didn't expect to hear back from the post-doc people until next February. But I heard from them today.

I've been granted this post-doc.

I hope that you'll all excuse my language, but in some situations, polite language just isn't enough.
