Fourth-Choice U

I finally clicked "send" and declined their campus visit invitation.

And now I'm afraid that neither First-Choice or Third-Choice U will offer me their TT position and that I will be on the job market for yet another year...

Oh, be silent my pragmatic voice!

ETA: I just got an email from one of the search committee members (about two hours after I clicked "send"). Apparently, the committee members will be very disappointed because I was one of the committee's favourites... *S.W. suppresses groan*
