Reprieve

So, next week is Thanksgiving in Hometown. But it won't be Thanksgiving in SmallTown for another month and a half.

While I will definitely miss my mother's turkey, I will also miss having a day off.

Fortunately, SLAC (Small Liberal Arts College) is hosting a two-day conference today and tomorrow.

The result: I have two days for which I don't have to prepare classes.

Will I rest? Probably not.

But at least I'll have a chance to get ahead on the class prep for Thursday and Friday...
