Six of these at the manufacturer's price (courtesy of Best Friend's mom).

ETA: The drawers are bought separately, but can be stacked vertically (like a regular filing cabinet) and/or connected horizontally. Since they can be separated, it'll be easier to transport them when I (finally!) move out. And if the shape of my living space changes, I can rearrange the drawers to fit.

It is an extraordinary relief to me to have cleared my desk, a whole bookshelf, and my floor of piles of files and photocopies. (They've been accumulating since I moved out of my carrel and returned twice from TLWTMS...)

Now I can spread my papers out a little on my desk, put my books on the bookshelf, and actually walk across my bedroom.

It's a good feeling.
